I Have Authority and Dominion
You have Authority and Dominion as God’s representatives on this earth. Jesus operated in divine authority on this earth, he did many miracles at the behest of God. He said
“I do and say nothing lest I hear my father say it first.”
Consequently, When Jesus exercised his authority to perform God’s will on the earth, He looked within and sought the words that God would have him speak over his current situation, and spoke those words with Faith in God, and confidence in his position as God’s Representative.
According to God’s ultimate plan of redemption for us, Through the death, and resurrection, of Jesus Christ, we were saved, and placed in the same position Jesus operated in on the earth. We are Christ’s ambassadors equipped with the authority and dominion He operated in. Jesus Tells us,
“Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.”
This doesn’t mean you should look for snakes to step on, nor to calm a natural disaster. God gives us wisdom and if there is a way to avoid a disaster we need to exercise that wisdom. The reason for your authority in the first place is your protection, never to be powerless, nor a victim of circumstances, but to walk confidently in faith. We are equipped and empowered to operate as Jesus did, He even said
“Whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.”
So, activate your authority by speaking the Word of God in Faith over your adverse circumstances. If you ever find yourself in a situation where you don’t have a way out, be secure in your position and remember your authority; reach down within, and seek out what the Lord would have you say, and speak out the words he’s given you with faith in and through the delegated authority of Jesus Christ.
