Still Standing.

“Tough times never last, but tough people do.”

-Robert H Schuller

The bible says, “many are the afflictions of the righteous, but God delivers them out of them all.” It is true that difficult situations are inevitable for us. Whatever your situation, God does not always show his love from stopping the storms of life, but often time loves us by walking through the storms with us. There are days we all wish that we didn’t have to go through the pain, the hardship, or the shear weariness of difficult times, but entertaining these thoughts only make it harder when hardships do come.  The only way to be prepared for the inevitable crisis is to shed our worry, anxiety, and ultimately our fear of it. With God you can face anything, so do not be afraid of what lies before you, instead take courage because of what lies behind you.

Remember all the times you Got sick, remember all the accidents, Remember all the storms you’ve weathered, Remember all the hurts and pains you’ve endured, remember all the near misses and close calls, And finally remember that which matters most, That you are Still Standing! You are Battle Tested and whatever you face, like everything you have faced, it too will pass. Even if you are under assault by the enemy of our soul, take heart because If Satan could have killed you, he would have, but he couldn’t. He tried to break your spirit, He tried to bind you, he tried to blind you, he used shame, pain, and every tool he had to defeat you, but he failed because you’re still standing. Certainly take notice of all the Good in your life as well, live thankful for God’s blessing, and choose to be happy. Just never forget that you are battle tested and tried, so that when the worst of the storm is upon you, You will stand, and keep standing until the very end knowing that with God you are unconquerable.

“Remember how far you’ve come, not just how far you have to go. You are not where you want to be, but neither are you where you used to be.”

–Rick Warren
